The President Emeritus Eugene Edwards Scholarship honors the legacy of Eugene Edwards through a selective scholarship program that advances higher education for academic and community service-driven students. The President Emeritus Eugene Edwards Scholarship awards graduating seniors from Henry County Schools a scholarship to assist with furthering their post-secondary education. The seniors who are awarded this scholarship exhibit the academic talent, leadership skills, commitment to community service, and exceptional work ethic. These are the characteristics that he late Eugene Edwards embodied to uplift the lives of the people and the youth he encountered.

Recipients of this scholarship must attend an accredited two or four-year college or university of their choice within the United States. The Presidential Emeritus Eugene Edwards Scholarship is not limited to any specific field or career objective and may be used to pursue any academic discipline and/or major.

Applicants for The President Emeritus Eugene Edwards Scholarship: MUST be a graduating high school senior from a Henry County School at the time of their application. Scholarship distribution will begin during the 2021-2022 school year.
