Lilla Head identified the photograph of Mrs. Willie Varner and her dog. Lillie Whitlow wrote, “this is Mrs. Willie Varner and her dog Quila on a Sunday afternoon after she returned from church services at Shiloh Baptist Church. This picture was taken in the 1980’s.” Leslie Willard wrote, “The picture from March 3 is of one of the sweetest angels God put on this earth. That is Mrs. Willie Varner. She was my favorite teacher in elementary school, I used to see her working at SaveRx back in the day, and I have often bragged to people that she is a real life George Bailey (It’s a Wonderful Life). She has been a blessing to everyone who has ever been around her for her entire life, and has done more good deeds than can be counted.” Thanks also to Betty Lee for identifying the photograph.
