Last year, the Rotary Club of Henry County, the Kiwanis Club of Henry County, and Lions Club of Henry County came together, along with local business owners and citizens, to host the First Annual Big Blue Thank You Cookout. The event raised money for the Big Blue Thank You Scholarship Fund in an effort to show their appreciation for local law enforcement and support personnel for protecting and serving the community.

The Big Blue Thank You (BBTY) Scholarship Fund Program helps dependents of the men and women of law enforcement to attend and succeed in the educational arena. The purpose of the BBTY Scholarship Fund Program is to provide scholarships to deserving high school, technical school, and college students intending to pursue or continuing pursuit of a course of study at an accredited post-secondary educational institution.

This year, the BBTY Scholarship Fund will award various scholarships in the amount of $5,000 per scholarship. Scholarship funds will be awarded to the student upon evidence of registration in an accredited post-secondary educational institution.

The deadline for scholarship applications is Thursday, April 1 at 5 p.m.
