Piedmont Henry Hospital started restricting visitation due to the COVID-19 pandemic in March. The hospital will now allow one visitor per patient, per day, as long as the patient is not being treated for COVID-19, which has been Piedmont Healthcare’s policy since the start of the pandemic. Sharing a visitation day is not permitted.
Piedmont Henry now allows patients on inpatient units to have one visitor per day. The hospital’s emergency department will allow one visitor to accompany non-COVID patients. Outpatient services will allow one visitor to accompany a patient per visit. Patients and visitors arriving for lab or imaging procedures will receive a sticker with the day’s date after being screened. In Labor and Delivery, one identified support person will be allowed throughout the patient’s stay. In the NICU, only the mother and security band holder will be allowed. Visitation is allowed on these units 24/7. All visitors are required to wear a mask in the hospital at all times.
Piedmont Henry encourages people to remain closely connected to their loved ones in the hospital through virtual means. Email messages to patients can be sent to PHHFeelTheLove@ piedmont.org and apps such as Skype, Zoom, DUO or FaceTime can be used to set up virtual face to face meetings.

This is wonderful! As I am currently at piedmont Henry ER. Wishing my husband could be here holding my hand. Also for all the brave mothers and fathers having babies during this trying time. God bless us all and may this pandemic be over soon.
