Fairview Urgent Care is now offering COVID-19 molecular and antibody testing for all members of the community who display symptoms or have been exposed to COVID-19. Testing is administered via a drive-thru process in the parking lot (appointment required).
Anyone who is exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms, was knowingly exposed to other confirmed cases, or just wants peace of mind, can visit fairviewurgentcare.com or call the office at 770- 507-7950 to make an appointment.
Swab testing is designed for patients who believe they have been exposed and are exhibiting symptoms of the virus. Antibody testing is designed for those patients who feel they were exposed to someone who had the virus, or they believe they had COVID-19 in the past. Antibodies are produced in response to the virus and can be detected in a simple blood test. If someone believes he/she had the virus but was unable to get confirmatory testing, Fairview Urgent Care recommends waiting at least 14 days before seeking the screening test, since it will take that long for the body to produce the antibodies necessary for detection.
Patients who are experiencing any non-life-threatening injury or illness are always welcome at Fairview Urgent Care. The facility is kept safe and sanitary by following all guidelines from the CDC and local health departments with:
- Reinforced disinfecting processes across all rooms, tables, chairs, computers, door handles and surfaces with EPA-registered cleaning products.
- Rearranged waiting rooms that adhere to social distancing practices and effectively manage waiting room capacities.
- Providing personal protective equipment (PPE) for our staff as well as patients in need. All symptomatic patients will be provided with a face mask.
- Enforcing in-car triage for all patients with symptoms of COVID-19 or who have had potential exposure to the virus.
- Expanded telehealth services to ensure our providers are available for those who need or prefer to receive care from home.
- Back to Work Physicals, including Covid-19 antibody testing.
