A multi-jurisdictional hazard mitigation plan has been developed that includes Hampton, Locust Grove, McDonough and Stockbridge. The purpose of the plan is to provide a blueprint for community officials to use for reducing vulnerability to natural hazards that impact the county and its jurisdictions. The plan provides eligibility for the county and jurisdictions to federal funding annually and following a disaster in the State of Georgia.

The public is invited to review the plan and provide feedback to include comments and changes before the plan is taken to the County Commission for review and adoption.
