Elizabeth “Betty” Cox
Mrs. Elizabeth “Betty” Cox, age 80 of McDonough, Georgia passed away March 23, 2020. She was born in Milledgeville, Georgia to the late Harold Thomas Bond. Sr. and Harriet Elizabeth Stevens Bond. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Hubert Cox, Jr. and by a sister, Shelby Manley. She received her nursing degree from the Piedmont Nursing School. After graduation, she worked at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. She put her career on hold long enough to raise her children and then went on to work at Westbury Medical Care Home in McDonough for 29 years. She loved her Westbury family and they loved her. Betty was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church, where she loved her church family. She had a very strong faith in God and believed in his Holy power. Nana had a sincere interest in people’s well-being and was an encourager to all. She loved to spend time with her family and grandkids and friends, socializing, trips to the beach, attending to her flower gardens and was an avid reader.
Survivors include her children, Jeff Cox and Brooke (Matthew) Echols; grandchildren, Nathan (Caroline) Echols, Trevor (Charly) Cox, Katelyn (Brandon) Dwyer and Ethan Echols; great grandchildren, Pierson and Peyton Cox; siblings, Harold “Skip” (Linda) Bowling of California and Patricia Blizzard of Lilburn; several nieces and nephews.

Lynda Sue Martin Lowe
Lynda Sue Martin Lowe, age 67, of Stockbridge, Ga., peacefully entered the gates of heaven into the arms of her Savior on Tuesday, March 24, 2020. She was born in Knoxville, Tenn., to the late Roy Milton Martin and Nettie Caroline Martin. Lynda’s hometown was Clinton, Tennessee, and she was an avid Vols fan. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Wayne Martin, Teddy (Kathy) Martin Sr., Patrick Martin, and Dwight Cook.
Mrs. Lowe is survived by children, Meghan Lowe (Brian) Windham, Phillip (Brianna) Lowe; husband, Jake Lowe; grandson, William Henry “Hank” Windham; sister, Jacqueline (Ralph) Eichelberger; sister-in-law, Janice (John) Lowe Schwenke, brothers-in-law, Jerry (Clara) Lowe and Avery (Mary) Lowe; nieces, Tennie Martin, Roya Mitchell, Gloria Pittman, Connie Ham, Christy Lowe, and Jessica Theiss; nephews, Chad Eichelberger, and Brian Lowe; special friends, Angie (Tommy) Babb, Kelly (Barry) Wallis, Gale (Eddie) Knox, Emma Wallis, Cindy (Eddie) Ellington and Janice (Greg) Ross.
