Staff Sergeant Nathan Boyd recently came home after spending 10 months deployed in Afghanistan since last December. “Our kids had no idea he was home,” said wife Lakin Boyd.

“They were surprised at their soccer game. They came on the field before the game to hold the flag during the National Anthem in honor of their dad that was overseas. After the National Anthem, the recreation minister welcomed my husband onto the field. It was a pretty happy moment. Keegen dropped what was in his hands and screamed ‘DADDY,’ and our oldest, Kade, was so shocked he did not have words. He did not believe it was real.”
