Thanks to Mark Parker for calling to identify the photograph of downtown Hampton. Mark added that he believes the picture was taken around 1954-56. Joe Turner wrote, “This is a picture of Main Street in Hampton from around 1950. Earl Tarpley’s Gulf station is on the right.
