Henry County Sheriff Keith McBrayer’s Fall Golf Classic is set for September 9 at Heron Bay Golf Club, 5100 Heron Bay Blvd., in Locust Grove. Registration and the driving range will open at 11 a.m.

  Lunch will be provided at 11:30 a.m., and golfing will begin at 12:30 p.m. The entry fee is $100 per player or $400 per team.

  All proceeds from the event will benefit the children of fallen officers Chase Maddox, of the Locust Grove Police Department, and Michael Smith, of the Henry County Police Department. Both officers were killed in the line of duty – Maddox in February of 2018, and Smith in December of the same year.
