Henry County Stormwater will sponsor an electronics recycling event June 8 from 8 a.m., to 2 p.m., at the Jason T. Harper Event Center at Heritage Park, 95 Lake Dow Road in McDonough.

  Residential and commercial items will be accepted, for items in working and non-working order. If a business or company has a large amount of electronics equipment to recycle, pickup will be available.

  Electronics must be removed from styrofoam, boxes, bags and other types of packaging. No trash will be accepted. No reimbursements or payments  will be given for items brought. The event is designed strictly a recycling drop-off collection.

  Processing fees will be assessed for several types of televisions at the event. Fees are $5 for flat-screen, LCD, LED and Smart TVs, and $25 for rear-projection TVs.

  Fees for cathode-ray monitors and TVs will be determined according to size – $15 for devices less than 19 inches; $20 for those that are 19-27 inches; and $25 for those greater than 27 inches. All inches are measured by screen diagonals.   Payments will be accepted by cash or check. Make checks payable to Henry County Stormwater.
