The firefighters will open the doors to the public, welcoming everyone to take part in family-friendly activities, games, and food. The open house will highlight a number of activities including tours of the station, fire apparatus, tools, and equipment. Firefighters and Para-medics will have displays and activities emphasizing fire and life safety education for the whole family. Kids can also practice how to “Stop, Drop, and Roll” with the departments newest teaching aid, as well as visit with Sparky the Fire Dog.

Fire safety education is not just for schoolchildren. Teenagers, adults, and the senior citizens are also at risk in fires, making it important for every member of the community to understand how to stay safe in case of a fire.   For more information, contact Henry County Fire Department, Community Risk Reduction at 770-288-6619.
