Henry resident, Betty Brown, celebrated her 80th birthday in grand fashion. “She was surrounded with about 200 of her closest friends, family and former colleagues. The evening was filled with warm words of love and lifelong impact from her 37-year career as a Georgia Educator.

The resounding theme was that her influence went well beyond the classroom for her students, peers and colleagues. She still remains a mentor and friend in the lives of many. The night culminated with a well-deserved toast of Mrs. Brown’s work and involvement in her community. She is truly “Living her life like it’s Golden” Happy Birthday … A Mom to ALL,” said her daughter, Sonya Evans.
