McDonough Councilwoman Vanessa Thomas will host an educational seminar for ages 15 and up on Saturday, April 22 from 10 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. “Know Your Rights and How to Respond When Stopped by Officers” will be held at the Henry County Schools Learning and Support Center, 166 Holly Smith Drive in McDonough.
Judge Gary Washington will speak on traffic stops (automobile searches), police stops (arrests), police home visits (searches) and police questions (interrogations).
The seminar is free and open to the public. However, seating is limited and registration is required.
