The Henry County Master Gardeners will hold their Annual Plant Sale on Saturday, April 30 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. It will be held in the covered arena of the Jason T. Harper Event Center at 97 Lake Dow Road in McDonough and will proceed rain or shine.

The plants are grown by the Master Gardeners and are reasonably priced. The selection will include annual and perennial flowers, house plants, vegetables, herbs, and shrubs. There will also be a “yard sale” of gently used garden merchandise and they accept cash or check. Patrons are encouraged to bring totes or wagons to carry their purchases.

Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer questions. The funds raised will be used for community educational efforts including the funding of a college scholarship for a Henry County High School senior pursuing a degree in an area of Agriscience.

Looking ahead, the Master Gardeners will offer plants and merchandise for sale at the weekly Farmers Market held each Thursday from June 2 through August 25 at the arena. The Master Gardeners will also sponsor their fourth annual Fall Gardening Symposium on Saturday, September 10. The symposium will be held at 97 Lake Dow Road in McDonough.
