Henry County Chair Carlotta Harrell is slated to deliver the Commencement Address at Southern Crescent Technical College (SCTC) scheduled for May 9 at 10 a.m. in the Stockbridge Amphitheater.

SCTC Student of the Year Jacob Johnston will deliver an introduction. Local and state officials and leaders are expected to be in attendance, as well as Board and Foundation members from the school. The college expects attendance to include approximately 400 graduates, 150 faculty and staff, as well as 1200 guests.

“I’m thrilled to have been given this opportunity by our amazing technical college to address these future leaders of Henry County,” said Harrell. “Since its establishment 13 years ago, SCTC has been foundational to our community. And its programs are foundational to our economy. Every year, a new class of graduates join and enrich our workforce. It’s an honor to be a part of the celebration.”

The Stockbridge Amphitheater is located at 4650 N Henry Blvd. in Stockbridge.
