Henry County Fire Rescue held its Third Quarter EMS Awards Ceremony on Thursday, November 10 in the Henry County Administration Building. Henry County Fire Rescue recognized 104 personnel for their exemplary implementation of medical knowledge, which resulted in their patients having a positive outcome. The award categories consisted of Trauma, Medical, Pediatric, and Cardiac Save Awards, which recognize personnel whose patients survived a cardiac arrest out of the hospital.

Fire Chief Jonathan Burnette opened the ceremony with a speech on recognition. “We don’t choose this career for the recognition. Our organization needs to give that recognition that is rightfully deserved.” Chief Petite led the ceremony. “It’s interesting how working cardiac arrest has evolved here in Henry County. We still have some of the highest ROSC, which is a return of spontaneous circulation, not only in the state but in the southeast and the nation.”

The third quarter awards have the most recognized personnel since the program was expanded in early 2022, which is an outstanding achievement. Several friends and family members were in attendance.
