The Georgia Statewide Outdoor Burning Ban will end Saturday, October 1. This means that Henry County residents will be able to burn outdoors. The Henry County Fire Prevention Bureau is encouraging all Henry County residents that when burning outdoors, to do so in a safe and vigilant manner within the parameters set forth by Henry County and State of Georgia guidelines.

Some of the questions that we are asked most often are: What can be burned? Do I need a permit? When can I burn? Guidance and answers to these questions are found utilizing information contained on the Henry County and the Georgia Forestry Commission’s websites. Most of the guidelines are very similar, however, the Henry County guidelines may be more restrictive than the state guidelines.

For more information, go to www.co.henry.ga.us, click on the departments tab, under public safety/emergency services go to the fire department tab and click on the Burn Ordnance tab.
