The Henry County Fire Department recently announced its rebranding to become Henry County Fire Rescue. A move that will include an updated crest, motto, patch and vision statement for the organization.

Fire Chief and Emergency Management Agency (EMA) Director Jonathan Burnette is excited to usher in this new chapter of the organization’s forty-plus year history. “In this line of work, the only thing that is consistent is change,” Burnette said. “We are constantly evolving our strategies and tactics in the ways we respond to fires, our treatment of patients, and the technologies we employ. Today’s announcement is consistent with that spirit of change.”

The renaming is largely functional, in that transition from Fire Department to Fire Rescue reflects the absorption the EMA into the existing organizational structure.

But the rebranding is symbolic as well. The organization’s new motto, Committed to Community, will be included on an updated crest and patch worn by all personnel best reflecting their mission. “A name and a patch should represent not just the responsibilities of an organization, but also why it exists. Fire and EMA are here to serve you and help those in their time of need. We are committed to the welfare of Henry County, its residents and visitors,” Burnette explained.

The full rebranding will play out over the next several months starting with uniform changes and vehicle rebranding.
