The Henry County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) was honored to host a Georgia All Hazards Incident Management Team Exercise in conjunction with members of the State of Georgia’s Incident Management on May 18 at the Henry County Emergency Operations Center in McDonough.
A collaborative effort, the state’s team of highly trained and experienced personnel continue to work hand in hand with Henry County EMA to manage the response and recovery of a variety of emergency scenarios. This most recent training involved a long track tornado scenario impacting multiple counties in Georgia.
EMA Assistant Director Kevin Johnson said he is constantly looking to improve emergency operations to better serve the residents of Henry County.
“This exercise was a great experience to work together with our neighboring counties and State partners. Our team in Henry County strives to continuously improve our emergency operations so we can better serve our citizens,” said Johnson.
