Michelle (McCormick) Burnham and Amanda (Jackson) Cox recognized themselves along with most of the girls gathered around Mayor Billy Copeland’s desk as he signed a proclamation for Girl Scout Day nearly 40 years ago. Among the Girl Scouts in this picture are Meg Thomas, Anslynn Dunn, Corrie Stevens, Heather Bedell, Candy and Angel Latham, Heather Swain and her little sister, and Nijah Sims.
