Henry County Retired Educators Association (HCREA) are offering area youth a chance at one of three available scholarships.
“HCREA is so happy to make these scholarships available, we hope this year, we’ll have many individuals applying and wanting to become Educators or advancing their career as an Educator,” says Ann Jones, Coordinator of the Scholarship program. “We see a great need for teachers right now and we want to support individuals who want the knowledge to become stellar and extraordinary Educators.”
The HCREA Scholarship Program is available to eligible individuals with an application on-line. Go to the HCREA website at http://www.hc-rea.org. Click on MORE Info and scroll down to Scholarships Available. Fill out the application completely and, with supporting material, submit by May 1, 2022.
A $750 Scholarship is available to assist the advanced college student seeking initial teacher certification. Applicants must reside in Henry County and be currently enrolled in an approved teacher certification program.
A $750 Scholarship is offered to the certified professional educator who is seeking an advanced degree. Applicants must reside in Henry County and have been accepted into a graduate program leading to an advanced degree.
A $500 Scholarship is available to a deserving high school senior planning to pursue a college career in education. Applicants must reside in Henry County and be a graduating senior from an accredited high school.
