The Georgia Equine Rescue League, LTD, is sponsoring the 11th annual Stallion to Gelding clinics going on in the month of October. Since the start of this important program, more than 1,212 stallions have been gelded which has significantly reduced the number of starved, abused and neglected horses in Georgia.
For just $100 per equine, Georgia residents can have their horses, donkeys and minis castrated by licensed veterinarians who are hosting the clinics throughout the state. In addition to the owners’ payments, participating veterinarians will receive $75 from GERL.
A current Tetanus vaccination and negative Coggins test are required. These procedures can also be done at the Stallion to Gelding clinics at the owners’ cost.
