Henry County Commission Chair Carlotta Harrell issued an Order Clarifying the Declaration of State of Local Emergency at the August 17 regular BOC meeting.

The updated Declaration clarifies county activities and facility use amidst the continuing Coronavirus crisis, specifically for Parks and Recreation. The order requires that all participants in sporting and recreation events must adhere to COVID guidelines of the Parks and Recreation department; patrons entering Parks and Recreation facilities will be screened for COVID symptoms, prior to entering; and guests and patrons must wear a face covering that completely covers the nose and mouth area.

Additionally, guidelines in place also require that for all scheduled events for private functions that a guest list is provided to Henry County Parks and Recreation  no later than 24 hours prior to the event, and that each guest upon arrival to the event, must provide proof of a negative COVID test taken within 72 hours of the event. The order also limits capacity at Parks and Recreation facilities to 60 percent of its normal authorized capacity and restricts large gatherings or events consisting or 250 people or more on property or facilities owned by Henry County, until further order by the Commission Chair.
