The Henry County Board of Commissioners recently heard a presentation from Taleim Salters, Henry County Transit Director, and Grady Smith, VHB Consultant, on the Transit Master Plan Update.

  In the update, Smith explained what a transit master plan is, why one is needed for the county, and outlined what the 30-year plan will provide, short- and long-term recommendations, policies, financial consideration and the rebranding process for the Henry County Transit Master Plan.

  Smith also shared with viewers the timeline of the final plan which is expected to be completed in September of this year.

  Residents are encouraged to contribute and provide input regarding the master plan by attending virtual public meetings, taking part in online surveys and polls and participating in committee projects. The first virtual meeting is scheduled for February 25. More information on the meeting will be provided on the Henry County Transit Master Plan website.
