Piedmont Henry Not Allowing Visitors Due to COVID Cases in Community

Due to increasing numbers of COVID-19 in the community and the hospital, Piedmont Henry Hospital is not allowing visitors for the time being. Patients in Women’s Services, Surgical Services, and the Emergency Department, and special needs, disabled, or hearing-impaired patients are allowed one care partner. Other exceptions need to be approved by leaders in specific departments.

“We realize that this is very difficult for our patients and their families and friends, but we need to keep our patients and staff safe,” said Lily Henson, M.D., CEO of Piedmont Henry. “We encourage friends and family to use digital resources to connect with their loved ones in the hospital and to assist them in their care and recovery.”

Hospital leaders are also encouraging all Henry County residents to practice safe behaviors at home to help stop the spread of COVID-19. The best practices are to wear a mask, maintain social distance and avoid gatherings, and wash your hands regularly.
