More changes

I have barely gotten used to the one-way pairs and all the traffic changes in McDonough, and then I get another change! I stopped at the BP to fill up the Camry’s tank and I can’t figure out how to use my credit card, and then how to choose my preferred octane. So, I asked the man filling up in the next lane if he knew how to enter a card and he told me to make sure the security chip went in first. Then, he kindly showed me that I had to really press the octane choice a lot harder. The new gas pumps look much more professional and once I got the free tutorial I was able to complete my task.  Next time I will not use the pump that faces Hardees as I couldn’t see the answers it was giving me due to the sun. I’m so glad I happened to ask someone who knew what he was doing and that he didn’t mind helping another Henry County soul!

Then I changed the time on the Camry and now under the display it shows the word ‘passenger.’ So far I’ve pressed the button beside it, but that didn’t work. I consulted my owner’s manual and can’t find the solution there either. I searched online and that particular word doesn’t come up in any of the dash signs. Sigh. Guess I’ll have to go to a technician and have them wave their magic wand. But first, I had to take Shadow to the vet, for maybe her last visit. She had become more and more agitated, meowing all the time, sleeping on the mat that is partially under her litter box instead of on the sofa or near the sliding glass door where she usually prefers to rest.  So, I planned another trip to the vet, but knew I couldn’t go the usual way.  So I tried MapQuest, and that was a big nope. I called the vet’s office and a nice lady gave me specific directions so I did a dry run the day before our appointment, and saw it would take a while for me to make a left onto Hampton Street from Brown Avenue. We did leave a tad early and it worked out perfectly. And of course I prayed for God to give us the best solution.

The good news though, is that she can hang out with us a while longer, until she decides to stop eating. She has renal failure, and that made her go blind. I declined to have them do any blood work and will just make sure she has enough water, food and can stay safe here. My kind kidney doctor has me taking a teaspoon of baking soda every day and since I started, my numbers have gone down even more! I’m so glad I was led to Dr. Blackmon and for his expertise. I wonder if my cat should take baking soda? I will call the vet and see what she thinks.

I’m still praying, every day, for our country and that He will continue to bless the good old USA!  I’m getting tired of the very negative political commercials and just change to a music channel instead of watching the news. I’m also praying daily for the environment, and the economy, and for peace and love to surround all His people. Now, that would be a good change!

I will be glad when we can go back to church, and put these masks away, for good. I would like that change, a lot! I no longer put on lipstick or any other makeup, something I really miss. Okay  2020, go away and take your change with you!
