A new Superior Court judge and two new State Court judges for Henry County were named last week by Gov. Brian Kemp.

According to an October 7 announcement from the governor’s office, State Court Judge Pandora Palmer has been appointed to the Superior Court bench for the Flint Judicial Circuit, which is comprised solely of Henry County. She is filling a vacancy created in April of this year when Trea Pipkin was appointed by Kemp to the Georgia Court of Appeals.

Vincent Lotti has been appointed to succeed Ernest Blount, who retired in February of this year after two decades as a State Court judge. Palmer’s vacancy on the State Court bench has been filled with Kemp’s appointment of Danielle Roberts.

Palmer became the first female judge on Henry County State Court at the beginning of 2019 when she was sworn in by former Gov. Nathan Deal, one of his final appointments before leaving office. She has a quarter-century of legal experience, having joined the Georgia bar in 1994. She spent nine years at the McDonough firm of Smith, Welch, Webb & White before opening her own practice in 2012. She has lived in Henry County 18 years.

She is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, Hawaii Bar Association, Council of State Court Judges, American Bar Association, Henry County Bar Association, Clayton County Bar Association, Towaliga Bar Association, and the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers. Palmer and her husband reside in McDonough.

Lotti is a lifelong Henry County resident who graduated from the University of Georgia and later attended John Marshall Law School after working as a probation officer with Henry County Juvenile Court. He established his own practice, the Lotti Law Firm, after graduating from law school.

He served briefly as a McDonough Municipal Court judge and for the past two years as a Henry County Magistrate Court judge. In 2018 he qualified to run for a State Court judgeship in the general election.

Roberts is a graduate of Howard University as well as Georgia State University’s law school. For the past three years she has served as a Henry County Magistrate Court judge.

Prior to that she was an associate attorney with AXAMLAW and also partner and co-founder of Axam~Roberts Legal Group. She is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, Henry County Bar Association, Gate City Bar Association, and the Atlanta Lawyer’s Club. Roberts and her family live in Ellenwood.
