A fire broke out today in a McDonough building that, according to the Henry County Tax Assessor’s office, dates back to 1952.

Located between the one-way pairs running North/South in McDonough and South of the Square, Affordable Automotive Repair caught fire early Friday evening.


According to a first responder on the scene, the fire appears to be accidental, but may still be under investigation.

Different agencies, including McDonough Fire Department, Henry County Fire Department, McDonough Police Department and Henry County Police, aided in keeping citizens safe.
