The Halo House, a nonprofit organization for senior dogs, opened on February 2, 2020. The Halo House is a place where senior dogs can find a “furever” home for the final chapter of their lives. The nonprofit adopts senior dogs, 10 years of age or older, from local animal control shelters that have been deemed unadoptable. Most of the dogs arrive with physical issues that require continuous medical attention. The Halo House is currently caring for five senior residents, each with a unique personality.
