  The Henry County Board of Commissioners approved several resolutions at the August 18 Commission meeting. Items approved include:

  •   Emergency Management Agency resolution – accepting funds from the state of Georgia in the amount $32,150 as part of the presidential declared Georgia Disaster Hurricane relief.
  •   Accountability Courts resolutions – accepting grants from the Office of the Governor Criminal Justice Coordinating Council for 2021.
  •   Adult Felony Drug Court in the amount $171,536
  •   Resource Court in the amount of $150,872
  •   Veteran’s Court in the amount of $75,452
  •   DUI/Drug Court in the amount of $49,797
  •   Stormwater resolutions – approving three bid awards to Summit Construction and Development LLC., and one bid award to Southeastern Site Development for the construction of storm drain replacements at the following locations. 
  •   Chestnut Lake Drive in the amount of $216,566.20
  •   South Laney Road in the amount of $88,432.50
  •   Woodstown Road in the amount of $348,587.20
  •   Speer Road in the amount of $596,853.02

  Funding for the projects will be allocated through the Stormwater budget.

  •   Facilities Maintenance resolutions – approving upper and lower roofing for the Henry County Jail in the amount of $406,048 and approving a roof replacement for the Henry County Jail Annex in the amount of $509,820. The projects are contracted to Garland/DBS Inc., and Capital funds are available for the commodities and services.
  •   Henry County Department of Transportation resolution – awarding the bid to Infrastructure Management Solutions for the pavement management program study services in the amount of approximately $500,000. The funding is available in the DOT budget.
