The results are in for the Henry County runoff election held Tuesday, August 11.
Of the 166,523 registered voters in Henry County, 13,698 voters participated in this election.

Reginald Scandrett won the vote for the Democratic Sheriff primary runoff with 9,530 votes over Tony Brown’s 2,894 votes, with a margin of 6,636 votes.
For the Democratic Sheriff candidate, 4,200 voters cast their ballots in-person on election day, 4,306 used advanced voting, and 3, 956 voted by absentee ballot, for a total of 12,462 votes cast.
Makenzie McDaniel won the vote for nonpartisan Board of Education District 2 with 2,539 votes over incumbent Josh Hinton’s 1,803 votes, with a margin of 736.
For the Nonpartisan Board of Education District 2 vote, 1,291 voters cast their ballots in-person on election day, 1,445 used advanced voting, and 1,645 voted by absentee ballot, for a total of 4,381 votes cast.
