The District 4 Department of Public Health is holding a pop-up testing site on Friday, May 22 open to anyone who wants to be tested for the COVID-19 coronavirus.
It was earlier this month that the Henry County Board of Commissioners requested additional testing in the county, supported by the cities of Hampton, Locust Grove, McDonough and Stockbridge. Officials with the DPH responded immediately with plans for a pop-up testing day. The free COVID-19 testing will be held on Friday, May 22 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at J.P. Moseley Park in Stockbridge.
Individuals do not have to have symptoms nor have to have been in contact with a person who previously tested positive for the virus. There is no appointment necessary, however pre-registration is available but not required.
Additionally, Henry County Transit will be providing free transportation to and from the testing site for those who need it. To schedule a trip for testing, please call 770-288-7444.
J.P. Moseley Park is located at 1041 Millers Mill Rd. in Stockbridge.
