Food drive to assist hospitality workers

  The Henry County Convention and Visitors Bureau and Connecting Henry are collecting non-perishable food items with their Help for Hospitality Food Drive for the Henry County hospitality industry members who have been impacted by COVID-19. 

  The deadline for the food drive has been extended until May 22. 

  Needed items include side dishes (potato, rice and pasta sides), helper meals (tuna, chicken and burger), tomato products, canned fruits, saltine crackers, peanut butter, jelly, spaghetti sauce, pork and beans, canned beans, canned chili, canned soups or stews, canned pasta (SpaghettiOs, ravioli, etc.), Manwich or sloppy joe mix, canned/foil pack tuna or canned chicken, jello or pudding mix, corn muffin mix, cake or brownie mix, cereals, oatmeal, canned vegetables, juice, and boxed macaroni and cheese.

Items can be dropped off at the following locations:

  • Any Henry County Food Depot location: 560 Macon St., McDonough; 4709 N. Henry Blvd., Stockbridge; 2600 Hwy. 138, Stockbridge
  • Henry County Convention and Visitors Bureau: 1709 Hwy. 20 West, McDonough
  • Connecting Henry: 66 Veterans Dr., McDonough
  • Lovin’ Oven Pizzeria: 3844 GA-42, Locust Grove
  • Rutabaga’s Market and Cafe: 1 Cherry St., Hampton

    This is really cool you guys! I’m assuming this is a yes… but would muffin mix work?? I have a ton, so I’d love to stop by to donate if i have time today.
