In an effort to preserve some of the history of our community, The Times is displaying photos of Henry County from the past. If you can tell us anything about the photo shown above, use this form. In the next edition, we’ll reveal the details of the picture and notes readers send us.

Maurine Wise commented on henrycountytimes.com, “the class picture in “Henry County As It Was” is the class of 1954. We were the last class to graduate from McDonough High School. Many of us still get together once a month for lunch. A great bunch of kids.” Addie Wilkinson wrote, “this is the MHS class of 1954, which was the last year of McDonough High School. After that, it became Henry County High. In 2019, a new school was built and now there is a McDonough High School again. Several of our class members attended the ribbon cutting of this new school. As of now, about 20 of us have lunch once a month and we have been doing this for about 12 years. We also had our 65th class reunion last June.” Thanks also to Harold Rosser for correctly identifying the photo.
