Adonna McBride, a dual enrolled junior at Eagles Landing High School and Clayton State University, was  recently selected to participate in Disney’s Dreamers Academy Class of 2020. This class had approximately 10,000 applicants to apply, however, only 100 high school students throughout the U.S. were selected. Adonna is the only Henry County student selected.

  While in Orlando, Adonna will interact with Disney cast members, industry experts, and community leaders, as well as, participate in inspirational talks, immerse in career activities and garner networking and interviewing experience.

  Disney’s Dreamers Academy was founded in 2008 to give students with a dream the tools it takes to let their potential shine. The Walt Disney Company, entertainer Steve Harvey, and Essence magazine will host the event for the 100 students at Walt Disney World resorts.
