In observance of DAR’s National Day of Service, members of the Andrew McBride Chapter NSDAR recently volunteered to help with Cannon Cleveland Funeral Home’s “Great Bear Share” project.

Volunteers met on a Saturday morning to sew bandaged hearts on approximately 300 stuffed bears.

The bears were then named and a tag was affixed to each.

The finished bears were donated to Henry County’s public safety teams, to be given to children for comfort during traumatic situations.
