Need help with your energy bill? Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) might be able to help.
Registration is open to the general public from now through December 19. Should funds be available, LIHEAP will resume January 6, 2020.
LIHEAP is available to eligible households in Clayton, Henry, and Fayette County to assist its low income residents with their heating bill. Eligible households may receive $350 or $400 towards their primary heating source.

Appointments and walk-ins are limited from Monday-Thursday, from 8 until 11:30 a.m. and from 1 to 3 p.m.
Applications can be dropped off daily at Clayton County CSA, Inc. at 1000 Main Street in Forrest Park, GA, 30297.
Required documents (no exceptions) include: State Drivers License/State or Federal ID document for applicant, Original Social Security card(s) for all household members, Most current gas and electricity bill (must be dated within the last 30 days), and Household income (if any)- must denote current gross income for the last 30 days for all members 18 years of age or older.
Examples of last 30 day income documents include: Weekly Pay (last four stubs), Bi-Weekly (last two stubs-may be three), Semi-Monthly (last two stubs), Monthly (last stub), Social Security letter, Child support, Pension/Retirement, Veterans Pay, Self-Employment/Unemployment Benefits.
