The Henry County Chamber of Commerce (HCCC) is partnering with SCORE, the nation’s largest network of volunteer, expert business mentors, to offer free business mentoring services to business owners in Henry County. A branch office of SCORE Atlanta will service Henry County and surrounding communities from the HCCC office on the 2nd Monday of the month in December, 2019, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. by appointment only. The schedule will expand to include the 2nd and 4th Monday in each month, beginning in January 2020.
SCORE serves all business owners at all stages of the business life cycle: pre-start, start-up (first year), in business and closing, from all demographics, educational backgrounds and across all industries. With 10,000 volunteers across the nation, the organization provides free business mentoring and free or low-cost business education to hundreds of thousands of clients each year.
HCCC President and CEO Joseph B. Henning was instrumental in bringing SCORE Atlanta to Henry County. “The Chamber represents Henry County businesses in one of the fastest growing, more robust economies in Georgia. New businesses are joining the Chamber at a rapid pace and make up a majority of our membership. In a recent survey, our members expressed a need for more resources to support small businesses in navigating the start-up process and for guidance in developing growth strategies for existing businesses. We are excited about partnering with SCORE Atlanta to establish a SCORE branch office on location at HCCC.”
