The Southern Crescent Sexual Assault and Child Advocacy Center (SCSAC-CAC) will be hosting their 2nd Annual Superhero 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, November 2 at 10 a.m. in Downtown Hampton.
The cost of registration for the Superhero 5K Run/Walk is $30 October 31 at 11:59pm. To register, visit www.itsyourrace.com. Runners can pick up their packets at 9:00 a.m. on the day of the race. There will be a $30 charge for on-site registration.
Following the 5K Run/Walk there will be a post event award ceremony and post event prize drawing. This year’s prize drawing includes:
- 2 US Travel Round Trip tickets on Southwest Airline
- 1 Family Four Pack from the Center of Puppetry Arts
- 4 general admission tickets from Zoo Atlanta
- 2 general admission tickets from the Georgia Aquarium
Proceeds from the Superhero 5K will benefit the Southern Crescent Sexual Assault and Child Advocacy Center.
“It is our hope that this event will make people aware that our agency exists and help them to have a better understanding of the valuable services we provide to the communities we serve,” said Melissa Cates, Director of Development SCSAC-CAC.
SCSAC-CAC provides trauma informed care and direct services to children who have experienced physical abuse, sexual abuse or who have witnessed a violent crime and adult victims of sexual assault.
Southern Crescent Sexual Assault and Child Advocacy Center works to provide a collaborative, coordinated community response in an effort to reduce the incidence of child maltreatment and sexual violence through prevention, intervention, and education.
