Thanks to Wade Bledsoe, who wrote, “this country store belonged to A. T. Jeffares and was located in the Beersheba community, about three miles N.E. of Ola. Mr. Jeffares also owned a large farm surrounding the store. He was a great-uncle of mine and lived in a large house just west of here. The store was a general merchandise store as were many at that time. My grandfather A. C. Bledsoe owned a farm about 250 yards east of this location.” Sue Schauer wrote, “this is the old Jeffares Store on Snapping Shoals Road across from River Road.” Warren Holder identified the photo and added that the building is still standing today. Brook Schreiner and Robert Hines also correctly identified the photograph.
