The University of Georgia Extension Office in McDonough will host a Tomato Tasting event on Thursday, July 25 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Jason T. Harper Event Center at Heritage Park. The occasion will be part of the Henry County Farmers Market.
Frank Hancock, the Extension’s agriculture and natural resource agent, has overseen the Tomato Tasting for several years. He said the Tomato Tasting will follow a blind-test format, to determine who has the best tomatoes locally.
Results from the Tomato Tasting will be published in the Times and at the Farmers Market in the week after the event.
