Thanks to Andy Garland for bringing this photograph of the McDonough Machine Foundry. Jimmy Hodges commented on our website, “I think that’s the Southern Saw Works Foundry that evolved into Snapper Power Equipment. The roof and trusses are still there in the present building.” John Chick wrote, “this looks like making castings with cast iron. This could well have been McDonough Foundry and Machine works. Founded in 1890.”
