The Stockbridge City Council’s continued review of development standards and the site plan for the Jodeco development, also known as the Everly development, resulted in no action at the council’s June 10 regular meeting.

A lengthy and detailed document, available for citizen review on the city’s website as part of the council agenda packet for the meeting, was presented and discussed. It includes site design standards for residential and non-residential development as well as parking, signage, building and landscape specifications and other information.

The council was informed that proposed vendors would review the guidelines and submit their feedback to city staff.

In other business, the council approved a policy for theft of service and tampering with water meters. Also approved was a policy for water leak adjustments and the application process. Both measures passed unanimously.

Jacqueline Kennedy of Kennedy Events LLC had requested a business permit and was denied due to a moratorium in place for assembly uses. However, her exemption request was approved unanimously and her license is pending. A separate motion to remove appeals from the moratorium and insert stand-alone facilities, excluding those in the hopper, also passed unanimously.

Two separate actions were taken regarding the Youth Council Advisory Committee. The City Council voted unanimously to amend the ordinance and allow up to 12 members on the committee, and four new members were appointed: Glenn Collins, Ericka Jennings, Ollie Richardson and Sharika Zellars.

Consideration of appointments to the Development Authority and the Public Facilities Authority was removed from the agenda.
