The McDonough Woman’s Club, at 199 Turner St., will host a Springtime Pop-Up Sale April 3-4 from 11 a.m., to 6 p.m. The event will include a silent auction for items including lunch for three at Eagle’s Landing Country Club with Herman Cain.

  “Profits from this specific fundraiser will be used to renovate the club’s kitchen as the building is rented for meetings and small gatherings to generate funds for charitable giving,” said club President, Denise Sowell.

  Prices will drop by 20 percent April 4 at 11 a.m., then 40 percent from 4-5 p.m. From 5-6 p.m., prices will drop 50 percent. Sale organizers are encouraging the public to drop in for the occasion, enjoy restaurants around the Square or visit local businesses.

  The club was formed more than a century ago and maintains a philanthropic mission supporting 11 area organizations. Such group’s include: the Henry County Veterans Museum; the Henry County Schools Foundation; H.O.P.E Park; Henry County Meals on Wheels; A Friend’s House; the Henry County Library System; Haven House; Henry County Cancer Services; Ferst Readers of Henry County; the Helping in His Name Food Pantry; and Hands of Hope Clinic.   To make a donation to the club in memory or in honor of a special woman, mail a check payable to the McDonough Woman’s Club c/o Mary Loyd, 2215 McGarity Road, McDonough, GA 30252.
