The Henry County Master Gardener Extension Volunteer Program is granting a $1000 scholarship to a 2019 graduating Henry County High School student.  This student must be intent on pursuing a degree in Horticulture, Plant Science, Agriculture, Landscape Design, or Forestry. The recipient is chosen based on merit. If needed, applicants will be notified of an interview by Monday, April 22. Applications can be obtained from the Henry County Extension Office. A decision will be reached no later than April 30. 

  The funds will be appropriated to the college or university of the scholars choice, and applied to tuition, books, or other required fees in July of 2019.

  Applications must be dropped off at the Henry County Extension Office, 97 Lake Dow Road in McDonough and the deadline to apply is Monday, April 22.   The Master Gardener heading up the committee this year is Donna Schoenrock. For more information, email Donna at dschoenrock@gmail.com
