The Henry County Fire Department and the Georgia Fire Investigators Association, a branch of the International Association of Arson Investigators, hosted a spring training conference at Heritage Park Recreation Center from March 19 through March 22.
More than 95 fire personnel from across the state, including members of the Henry County Fire Department, shared training techniques and the most updated information, and participants had the opportunity to learn from national and international instructors and qualified experts in the field of arson.
Additional conference topics included the use of drones, fire pattern analysis, fire alarm forensic investigations and legal aspects of the fire scene.
Michael Black, Interim Assistant Chief of Prevention for Henry County, said that the conference offers excellent training and important shared experiences between fire professionals.
“We are honored to host the spring conference each year. Our central location provides valuable training for investigators across the state,” said Black.
