The University of Georgia Cooperative Extension Henry County and the American Cancer Society are offering uninsured women in the area a free class “The Cooking for a Lifetime Cancer Prevention Cooking School.” Learn to choose and prepare food to reduce cancer risk along with discussing screenings recommended for breast, cervical and colorectal cancer.
The school will be held Wednesday, February 13 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church, 253 Macon Street in McDonough. The class will feature healthy recipes that the audience will be able to taste. Each person will receive a cookbook with recipes and handouts that will help them to adopt healthy habits at home.
