Rex Lamar Hall
SGM (Ret.) Rex Lamar Hall, age 81 of McDonough, Ga., passed away January 25, 2019. He was born in Resaca, Ga., to the late Otis and Thelma Kirby Hall. Rex faithfully served his country in the United States Army, retiring after 21 years as a decorated Vietnam War Veteran. He worked for the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, Henry County Police Department and the City of McDonough Police Department with a total of 25 years of service. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed gardening and games of chance.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 50 years, JoAnna Hall; children, Timothy (Tracy) Hall of McDonough, Jeffrey (Michele) Hall of McDonough, Lisa Sulima of Frederick, Md., and Gregg Hall of Frederick, Md.; grandchildren, Jordan Hall, Jake Hall, Alexia (Ryan) Morris, Ariel Hall, Kyle Sulima, Jessie Sulima, Kaitlin Sulima and Lindsey Waddle; great grandchildren, Carsyn Morris, Wyatt Morris and Saylor Morris.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 11 a.m. in the Haisten Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed at Eastlawn Memorial Park. Dianne Hutson, age 73, of Stockbridge, Ga., died Sunday, January 27, 2019. She was born in Nassawadox, Virginia to the late Thomas Francis and Dorothy Agnes Murdock Whitehead.
Mrs. Hutson is survived by her husband, Larry Wayne Hutson; children, Michelle (Dirk) Tucker of Stockbridge, David (Melissa) Music of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Candy (Ken) Frizzel of Stockbridge, and Robert (Gina) Hutson of McDonough; 16 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and siblings, Kay Loving of Tex., Janet Nishikawa of Hawaii, Tim Whitehead of S.C., and Mack Smith of S.C.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 1 p.m. at the Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors with Rev. Ken Davidson officiating. Interment will follow at Union United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
