District IV Commissioner Vivian Thomas will host a Community Meeting on Saturday, January 12 at 10 a.m. in the Community Life Center at Grace Baptist Church in Stockbridge.

Thomas won the District IV seat this past November and officially took office this month.

In what will be her first Community Meeting as commissioner, Thomas will discuss various topics of interest to residents and hopes that citizens from all over the district will be in attendance to hear more about her vision for not only District IV but the county as well. She will also introduce various board appointees including appointees to the Zoning Advisory Board, the Development Authority Board, the Water Authority and the Council on Aging, just to name a few.

Topics of discussion will include possible future SPLOST projects, District 4 initiatives and proposed infrastructure projects. In addition to the discussion, Thomas will answer citizens’ questions and looks forward to meeting constituents from all over the district. District IV encompasses a wide swath, including Eagles Landing, Kelleytown and additional areas in both McDonough and Stockbridge.

The meeting is open to the public and all are invited.

Grace Baptist Church is located at 2178 Hwy. 138 in Stockbridge.
